Love That Shot Photo Walk

My friend Michelle and her sister Misti are the brains behind the camera and behind the screen at Love That Shot, an amazing Photography Community, Blog and Online School. Their website is turning 2 and they organized a Worldwide Photo Walk to celebrate the occasion. Here in Boise, the hometown of the site a group of us gathered in the Rose Garden near downtown and walked thru parts of beautiful downtown Boise shooting whatever caught our eye. We even got Birthday presents (swag!!) :)

Here are a few of my favorite shots from the walk...

Thanks for looking!

I Love Onions...

If you know me well, you know that this statement is not usually true...I Hate Onions! But fields full of onion flowers that go on as far as you can see? I LOVE those! Had to stop and grab photos of these fun flowers!!!

Getting shots from a low angle really added drama...

Low angles also exaggerate the size and proportion, this flower, which is large at about 2" around looks Huge when you only have the sky behind it...

Try One, Try Them All...

Mt Mom and I had a bed day yesterday, bad news medically speaking...well, not Bad news, but discouraging news. Basically we are back to square one on tests trying to find out what is wrong with us. This wouldn't be such a big deal, except 2 weeks ago our doctor said she had an answer. Yesterday we found out the doctor had read the test wrong. So, anyway...enough of that. After work Mom came over with some Cabernet Sauvignon and we sat and commiserated, cried and vented...then we proceeded to get silly. Just after glass 2 1/2 Mom decided to try on a few of my large rings, then she tred on more...then all of them. At Once! :) I had to break out the camera for this fun shot...

Rally to Save the American Dream...

This past Saturday there was a Nationwide Rally at Capitol buildings and in other large cities to show support for the Wisconcin Public Employees. Here in Boise we had a good sized crowd of around 400 people show up. The speakers were wonderful and the energy was high. It was a wonderful day!!

I grabbed some shots from the crowd, mostly of some of the more creative signs, but I couldn't resist a shot of the Capitol building, as well.

My Mom has been to many rallies in her day...I won't lie, we are a pretty vocal, political family and my Mom was coming of age in the 60's. ;) This was her first rally in Years, though! I had to take this pic and do some fun post processing to give it that 60's Vibe! :)

After about 45 minutes of speeches and chanting this pup, who had been nosing around the entire time, finally got fed up and found a spot of sun to take a little Dog Nap!

Here are a few of my favorite signs...

This one is for the Idahoans, our own Education Bill is in the State Senate and includes reduced Collective Bargaining and Free Laptops for all students...

And one more for the Idahoans...
